Jim Shaughnessy
Jim Shaughnessy is a self-taught ceramic artist with a 20 year background in clay. Jim is primarily interested in fusing the past with the present in terms of shapes, designs and firing techniques. His sculptural work as well as his dinnerware line reflect this. His work has served as the Rockland County Executive Award twice and has also been used as an award for Hillary Clinton, author Toni Morrison and Rockland County Legislator Nita Lowey. He is currently part of the faculty of Rockland Center for the Arts where he provides ceramic instruction for young and upcoming artists.
